The two soundscape compositions 'Innen' and 'Aussen' are based on field recordings made by Patrick Franke during his work as a field biologist on the research vessel 'Hydrograf'. They are likewise acoustic surveys of the non-place vessel and an intimate view into the aural-world of the ship's crew.
